Precious Woods generated in the first half of 2021 net sales of EUR 27.2 million. This was 17.6 % above the previous year’s net sales of EUR 23.1 million. On a consolidated basis, Precious Woods Gabon achieved sales of EUR 17.8 million, 12.8 % higher than in the same period of the previous year (EUR 15.8 million). Sales in Brazil were 19.0 % higher and reached EUR 7.4 million (previous year: 6.2 million). Sales from the trade of logs and sawn timber from Europe rose by 42.5 % to EUR 2.0 million (previous year: EUR 1.4 million).

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 5.5 million (previous year: EUR 1.6 million), corresponding to a margin of 20.3 %. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) reached EUR 3.5 million (previous year: EUR -0.4 million), with a margin of 13.0 %.

MIL project: Protecting mammals in the Amazon forest

At Precious Woods, our primary goal is to protect these ecosystems and to combine this with social and economic benefits today and for future generations. Between May 2021 and September 2022, the researchers will strive the forest to collect data and deploy camera traps delivering gapless results over the entire research period.
