Precious Woods generated in the first half of 2023 net sales of EUR 32.9 million. This was 5.0 % above the previous year’s net sales of EUR 31.3 million. On a consolidated basis, Precious Woods Gabon achieved sales of EUR 19.3 million, 4.7 % higher than in the same period of the previous year (EUR 18.5 million). Sales in Brazil were 4.3 % lower and reached EUR 8.4 million (previous year: 8.8 million). Sales from the trade of European logs and sawn timber increased by 13.3 % to EUR 4.5 million (previous year: EUR 4.0 million). The energy production of Carbon & Energy resulted in sales of EUR 1.5 million (previous year: EUR 1.7 million).

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 2.0 million (previous year: EUR 5.1 million), corresponding to a margin of 6.1 %. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) reached EUR -0.2 million (previous year: EUR 2.8 million), with a margin of -0.6 %.
